We pull into his driveway and I stare in awe at his house. “You live here?!” I ask. He nods. The house looks about 100 years old and is a little bit run down. We both get out and he ushers me inside his house. I look around at all the furniture which looks like it’s been there for years and I want to ask him why there are no boxes if he only just moved here. “Follow me” he instructs before I can ask. I follow him into his bedroom. Pretty basic room, just a bed, desk and a wardrobe. Strange for a teenage boy to have nothing else in his room. “Want a tour?” he says as he walks back down stairs and towards the basement. I glance down the dark staircase down to the basement “Don’t worry there’s no monsters down here” he jokes. I follow him uneasily. He turns on the lights and I walk forward slowly. I walk around worried about what was down here, when I see drops of blood on the floor near a cupboard. I walk slowly towards it not wanting Kevin to hear where I was going. I fling open the doors and inside is a dead body! She looks like my old friend Molly. No she doesn’t look like Molly, She is Molly! I scream and Kevin turns around sharply. He doesn’t close the door or yell though, he just runs towards the wall. Click. He turns the lights out and its pitch black down here. “Kevin this isn’t funny turn the lights back on and tell me what is going on!” I scream. “Shh...” he whispers in my ear. I turn to face what I think is him when I hear a loud bang, my head spins and I fall to the floor. “I’ve got two of my friends, now time for one more” I hear him whisper just as I black out.

He`s not what I thought he was
“Wake up Amelia” my mother yells at me. What a nice way to wake up I think to myself while trying to get out of bed. I rub my eyes while stumbling to the breakfast table. “Here you go,” mum says, placing a bowl of Coco Pops in front of me. I eat hungrily before I realise I only have 10 minutes to be ready for my first day back at school. I run to the bathroom and get ready in record time. I`m just about to walk out the door when I catch a glimpse of myself in the hallway mirror. Yip, my classic school nerd look is still there. Thick and frizzy orange hair which I only just managed to tame into a bushy ponytail, Check. Ugly thick glasses, Check. Freckles from my forehead to my chin, Check. Boring brown eyes, Check. So as you can see I`m the complete nerd package.
After Mum yelling at me to get in the car, I arrive at St. Clint’s Private School. The warning bell rings and I run to my first class, Algebra. Yay! The best way to start the day, yeah right. I`ve just about made it to the door when I run straight into a tall boy. Of course me being the school nerd, I drop my books everywhere. I bend down and try to collect them while everyone else around me continues to move to class. I see another pair of hands collecting my books and my eyes search for their owner. The boy I just ran into is helping me. I hadn’t noticed how gorgeous he was before I ran into him. His shaggy blonde hair just falling over his deep blue eyes. “Thanks” I say before he hands my books back. “No problem” he replies. I continue to class and I realise the gorgeous boy is sitting at the desk in front of mine. I sit down and then the teacher arrives. “Hello class, guess what? We have a new student, Kevin. Say hello Kevin.” Mrs Robinson tells us. “Hello” Kevin says. KEVIN! That`s what the gorgeous boys name is! Mrs Robinson starts her lecture on how to multiply fractions and I zone out and focus on Kevin`s hair. Before I know it the bell rings and we all leave for lunch. I walk straight out of class and to the field where Jada is waiting for me. Jada is one of those people who all the guys like but all the girls don’t. She`s almost 6 feet tall with long blonde hair that falls just passed her shoulders and has big green eyes to die for. No one, not even me, knows why she is friends with a nerd like me but she is and she’s the best friend I have now, ever since Molly left last summer.
“Hey!” I say to Jada. “Hey!” she replies. I sit down and we start discussing what we did since the last time we saw each other. I`m just about to ask her about her new denim skirt when she interrupts. “Amelia that dude over there with the blonde hair is staring at you” Jada whispers in my ear. “Really? The new one?” I ask her. “I think so, He has been staring at you since you sat down” She tells me. I look over at him and Jada wasn’t lying, He is staring at me! Oh no, he`s walking over here now. “Hi, I’m Kevin we met before in the hallway?” he asks questioningly. “I remember, how’s school going?” I struggle out trying not to get lost in his eyes. “Pretty good, I don’t really know this town very well so i was thinking, after school would you like to give me a tour?” Kevin says. “S...s...sure!” i just manage to spit out. “Okay meet me after school by the front gate and we can take my car, Later!” He says coolly. The bell rings just before Jada can interrogate me.
The rest of the day goes passed in a blur of classes. I pay no attention to what any of the teachers are saying, all I can think about is what places to show Kevin this afternoon. BEEEEP! At last school is over and I try my best not sprint to the front gate. I walk as slow as I can and I spot Kevin leaning against the fence with his arms crossed over his chest. “Hey Amelia” Kevin shouts over all the other students silly chatter. “Hey” I say when I get nearer to him. “ My cars the black Porsche just down there” he tells me while pointing out his car. We walk over to his car and we both get in. It’s quiet as we drive away so I say “I was thinking we could go to this really nice lookout, it has a really ni...” “Sounds great I just need to go home and drop my school bag off” he interrupts. “Sure” I reply quietly.

Term 1 Reflection
My first term of year 10 has been challenging but fun. I have gained quite a few credits and am very proud of the work I have completed over the term. The assessment I am most proud of is my excellence which i got for my scripted drama assessment because it challenged me to read between the lines and I had a very hard character portray. Next term I need to focus on my work more and not get distracted by my friends. Overall i think this term has been very successful for me.

Write an opinion piece about the campaign.
I think The Kony Campaign is trying to target an important issue. I don`t think any child should ever have be forced to leave their home, kill their parents and become slave soldiers. It would be horrible to live in fear of being kidnapped and turned into a soldier. I cant even imagine how horrible it would be to be forced to carry guns and kill your parents or even people who you might have been friends with. I think anyone who watches the Kony video will see the torture people go through every day because of one man, Joseph Kony. I hope this video is seen by everyone so they know of the problem that needs to be solved by everyone uniting.

Book Review(:
Thirst No.1. is a book about an 18 year old looking girl. Her name is supposedly Alisa but the name she was born with is Sita. Sita was born five thousand years ago and a few years after her baby was born, a vampire even older than her threatened to kill her young child and husband unless she joined him in vampirism. He told her he loved her and hed look after her. Now five thousand years and many wars later, she finally has found someone who she is in love with , Ray. She believes Ray is a reincarnation of her husband of five thousand years ago.
During this book, Sitas creator find her and tells her he needs to kill her in order to keep his promise to Krishna(god) She hatches up a plan to make her creator think that she will die with him, but instead she will be blown into safety. Unfortunately, Ray hears her and her creator talking and he falls out of a broken window. Sita then rushes to his aid but to no aveil? he is dying. She then turns him into a vampire. She ends up thinking she killed her creator when her plan has been completed. Her and Ray then go back to living their lives and falling in love.
Louise gave me this book to read. I really enjoyed how it was different to other vampire books by having a few strange twists. I really liked when the author wrote about her past and then went back to her present , it was very well done. I am reading the 2nd book currently and Louise is giving me the third one to read on the weekend. I really loved reading this book.
